Indoor Batting Cages in Columbus, IN

3 of the 6 batting cages, baseball training facilities and leagues we list in Columbus have indoor cages.

A listing can say "batting cage" without telling you whether the cages are actually under a roof — some facilities are indoor-only, others mix indoor and outdoor bays under one address, and map search doesn't separate the two. Every indoor batting cage here is confirmed indoor from the business's own website or posted amenities, not assumed from its location.

Call ahead during peak after-school and weekend hours. Indoor cages have a fixed number of bays that weather can't expand, so they fill up fast right after school lets out and on weekend mornings — reserving a slot ahead of time beats showing up and waiting.

Good to know

Are indoor batting cages open year-round?

Yes, that's the main appeal of indoor cages — they run on a regular schedule regardless of rain, heat, or winter cold, unlike outdoor cages many facilities close seasonally. Hours stay fairly consistent through the year, though holiday schedules vary by location.

Is it safe to hit off a pitching machine in an indoor cage?

Indoor cages are enclosed with netting on all sides plus an L-screen or guard protecting the pitching-machine side, which makes them a controlled setup for machine-fed swings. Standard precautions still apply: wear a helmet, stay behind the safety line, and never enter while the machine is loaded.
